Brendan was asked to do the music after our marriage ceremony and before dinner on June 5th, 2022 in Leitrim. All communications with him were quick and there was nothing that we could fault. His skills in playing and vocals were excellent. He chose songs that were blended excellently together and got the toes tapping. Hiring Brendan was the best choice we could have made. He didn’t just play music — he was there with his whole heart and personality and felt like part of the family. Brendan was very helpful in selecting songs for the ceremony, and he went out of his way to accommodate our plans: he came all the way to the island of Inishmore for us, even though it meant a full day of travel for him. We had a small elopement style wedding with an open air ceremony in a church ruin and lunch at the pub afterwards. Brendan seemed perfectly at home in both locations. He was playing wherever we went, had a good feel for the mood and the songs to pick. And while he was very professional the entire time, he seemed to be at ease and to genuinely enjoy playing for us. Having Brendan at our ceremony was like having a friend around. A very skilled and talented friend. Besides the music, it was just nice to have him around.
